If you guys are looking for artist jobs in Salt Lake that are not apart of the graphic design field, I wouldn't recommend looking in this state. I was able to get a freelancing job as an illustrator here, but I won't get paid until after the work is finished. I'm at the point were I am looking to get a part time 'normal' job - I refuse to work for minimum wage now that I have a degree so my search is a little harder.

Over this last week I've also been thinking about just moving out to the Glendale/Burbank area. I had a professor in college who said moving to places with studios to get a job is starting to become a thing of the past. I'm thinkin' it's about time to test that theory. Maybe if I at least move out that way I can get freelance jobs easier. The thought of going out there before I have a job terrifies me (the idea of driving that long with Tux in the car isn't a pleasant thing either) but I'm about at my wits end up here.

I've a good friend who keeps telling me I should move up to Canada because jobs for artists in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal are hot right now. This is true. I have a passport (yay!) and I have applied to a couple places, however, one studio was kind enough to let me know that non-Canadian residence need a work visa to apply. I have no idea why that didn't don on me at the start. Now that's something else I'm looking into.

There it is. That's how my life is looking right now. At least I'm lucky enough to live at home for free.

Until the next update then...

Well i got to admit your art and style is good and i have something to tell you i  finished my novel and i thought of a illustrator to draw my drawings based on my rough ones maybe you can use that art style of yours to do that but since you seem like a hobbyist i guess not however if you feel like working for me after i get my big break you can write to me whether if you want to be hired and nice art.
